Say a big hello to Hammy. He is a 4 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that was a rescue from shelter. We have been together since Hammy was 8 weeks old. He a very smart boy and a quick learner. Hammy loves kids, people, and his job as a Service Dog. His favorite games is playing ball and swimming.
In these eyes, I find strength, courage, and love to help me go through my day. Please let me introduce ROSIE who was a shelter dog that I rescued. She is Weimaraner mix, that i rescued at 1 yr old who had never been walked on a leash, but loves kids. She seems to always find a way to make me laugh. She knows when my anxiety is had for a panic attack and takes me for walks or wants t play ball. Rosie is very noisy and will be in the middle of everything I do. Her tasks are to bring me items, open cabinets, DPT, interrupts negative behavior, helps me with nightmares, let's me know that pain levels are high, sends me to bed and much more.
I would have never of made it without this girl. Meet my Sarah girl! Sarah is a Caroline dog that I got when she was 18 mos old from an oil field in the middle of boonies where some one had dropped her off. Sarah was skin and bones, but very loving. I opened my car door to get it in, before I knew it Sarah was in the back seat and wouldn't get out. She was my first Service Dog that taught me so many lessons about life. She is still my rock and apple of my eye that has helped me through some extremely hard times in my life. Sarah taught my current 2 SDs ( Hammy and Rosie) some tasks like making me slow down in Walmart ( that store makes me very anxious). She would warn me by touching my hand or leg to slow down, if I didn't slow down, she stepped it up by sitting down and not moving until I gave her a apology. If my apology wasn't sincere, she would lay down until it was sincere and did what she told me too (SLOW DOWN). The other 2 have learned that task, but each dog preforms it according to their personality. Sarah continues to be my right hand girl at the young age of 13 years old. She preforms light tasks still and occasionally goes to stores in our little town. Sarah has incredible work ethics and needs feel productive.
